Gift a membership
Sapphire Ultra can hand out Sapphire to other people, on a fixed monthly allowance rather than as a purchase.
Sapphire Ultra includes two gift seats every 30 days. Each one gives someone 30 days of Sapphire, starting when it lands.
The allowance refreshes rather than accumulating. Two unused seats do not become four next month, and seats cannot be bought separately at any price.
Who can receive one
- Not yourself.
- Not an account that already has Sapphire or better, whether paid or gifted.
- Not an account that already holds a gift.
- Not an account registered to a minor.
- Not someone either of you has blocked.
- Not an inactive account.
The reason a gift was refused is named at the time rather than reported as a generic failure.
When it ends
A gift is 30 days and then it stops. It does not roll into a paid subscription, no card is asked for, and the recipient is not charged when it lapses. Anything gated by Sapphire simply goes back to its free behaviour.
Gifting requires an Ultra subscription that has actually been charged. A gift cannot be sent from a trial that has not converted.
