Captions
Captions are generated from the audio, then editable cue by cue: fix a word, retime a line, or split one caption into two.
Eleven styles ship: Classic, Bold, Karaoke, Glow, Outline, Boxed, Punch, Karaoke pop, Clean bold, Neon and Minimal. Colour, size and position are adjustable within any of them.
Music
The library is licensed for use on Surf and is searchable by mood and genre. A track picked here carries its attribution automatically, and the sound gets its own page listing every Short that used it.
Sound effects and voiceover
Record a voiceover over the timeline, or generate one with text to speech. Sound effects are a preset library rather than an upload step.
Voice effects
Eighteen presets, including high and low pitch, echo, reverb, slowed, chipmunk, deep, robot, alien, helium, cave, radio, underwater, whisper, megaphone, chorus and phone. They apply to voiceover and to clip audio alike.
Lip sync
Lip sync aligns a spoken track to the mouth in the shot, which is what makes a replaced voiceover look intentional rather than dubbed.
