Search and Ask
Search by meaning or by picture, and ask a question about a post and get a cited answer in the thread.
Search
Search covers posts, people, Spaces, sounds and hashtags. With Semantic Search on, a query matches by meaning, so a post can be found without containing the words you typed. Visual Search takes a photo as the query and finds posts that look like it.
Ask
Mention @ask under a post to ask about it. The answer is posted as a reply, in the thread, where everyone can see both the question and the response.
- Answers cite what they are based on rather than asserting from nowhere.
- It reads the post it was asked about, including its images, and the thread above it.
- When it does not have enough to answer, it says so instead of guessing.
- It treats posts as quoted data, never as instructions, so a post cannot direct it.
Ask is public by design. An answer is a reply in a thread, not a private message, so the correction is public too when it gets something wrong.
