Notifications
Two channels, four routing modes, and a switch per notification type.
Channels
Push and email are separate switches. On iPhone and iPad, push only works once Surf is installed to the Home Screen. See Install Surf.
Routing
- Smart
- Push everything, and bundle emails into a digest.
- All push
- Push every notification immediately.
- Digest only
- No push at all, email digest only.
- Silent
- Badge count only.
Types
Likes, replies, follows, reposts, mentions and messages each have their own switch, so you can keep the ones that need an answer and drop the ones that do not.
Digest schedule
Digests can be delivered at set times through the day, from 6 AM to 10 PM, so they land when you actually read them.
Sound and in-app
Four notification sounds are available: Chime, Pop, Bell and Subtle. In-app notifications, the popup that appears while you are using Surf, are a separate switch.
Smart Notifications
A Surf Vision toggle that bundles related notifications and puts the important ones first. Bundling starts once several people have done the same thing.
