Overview
Studio is a real multi-track video editor that runs in your browser, with nothing to install and no render queue.
Studio opens whenever you create or edit a Short. It is not a filter picker with a trim handle: it has a multi-track timeline, keyframes, masks, chroma key, picture in picture, colour grading and audio work, all running locally in the browser.
What it can do
- Cut
- Split, delete, duplicate, reverse, trim, and remove silence automatically.
- Motion
- Speed from 0.25x to 4x, speed ramps, freeze frames, keyframed transforms.
- Look
- 55 filters, colour adjustment, filter stacks, and 27 AR lenses.
- Layers
- Text, emoji, stickers, GIFs, images, picture in picture, masks and chroma key.
- Audio
- Music, sound effects, voiceover, text to speech, and 18 voice effects.
- Captions
- Automatic transcription with 11 caption styles.
- Subject
- Background removal, subject highlight, smart reframe, tracked pointers.
- Projects
- Save a project and reopen it, or save a template and apply it to the next edit.
Limits worth knowing
- Up to 10 video sources in one project.
- Minimum clip length 0.5 seconds.
- Transitions run 0.3 to 1.0 seconds, defaulting to 0.5.
- Fades up to 3 seconds.
- 100 steps of undo history.
Shorts are capped at three minutes on every tier. The tier changes the export quality and the AI tooling, not the length.
