Restricted mode

Restricted mode raises the filtering thresholds across the account. It filters more aggressively than the standard content comfort settings, and it also filters out strongly negative content rather than only explicit content.

It sits in Settings, then Restricted Mode. When a guardian has set it through Family Center, it is enforced rather than suggested.

How it differs from the feed content filter

Content Filter

Your own comfort setting, in feed settings. Standard, Modest or Strict, plus switches for vulgar language, sensitive content and upsetting posts.

Restricted mode

An account-level mode with stricter thresholds than any of those, applied everywhere rather than to the feed alone.
