Why we’re building Surf.
The platforms most of us grew up on quietly changed the deal. The feed stopped serving you and started serving whoever paid to reach you. The algorithm became a black box. Your data became the product.
Surf is our answer: an ad-free platform where you control the ranking, your messages are end-to-end encrypted, and nobody can buy a slot in someone else’s feed. Threads, posts, Shorts, Stories and Spaces, with none of the machinery pointed at you.
