No advertising infrastructure
There is no ad framework in Surf. No ad network, no ad-targeting profile, no advertiser SDK, and no way to buy placement for a post.
Your algorithm is yours
Move a slider and the ranking moves with it. There is no hidden dial that outranks yours, and where Surf has learned something you never set, anything you set by hand overrides it.
Transparent by default
Tap a post and it tells you the signal that surfaced it, read straight off the ranking query with no extra tracking and no AI call. The weights it uses are published on our algorithm page.
You decide what's shared.
Plain controls for what Surf personalizes and shows. There is no ad tracking to switch off, because none was ever collected. You can download your posts, bookmarks and follow lists, or delete your account, from settings.
Our security modelWhat we don't do.
Running Surf takes service providers: hosting, payments, and the model providers behind our AI features. They handle data to operate the app and never to advertise to you.
