Security on Surf is not a setting bolted on at the end. It starts with strong encryption and a business model that has no reason to hoard your data.
Encrypted where it counts.
Messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted, built on an X3DH key exchange and a double ratchet for forward secrecy. Calls run peer-to-peer, so the audio never reaches our servers.

Because Surf runs on subscriptions instead of ads, there is no targeting profile being built about you, and nothing about your activity is sold.
What we don't collectUnder the hood.
Every device gets its own keys. Group chats use sender keys, so each member encrypts a message once and everyone can read it without exposing anyone. You can confirm you are talking to the right person by comparing a safety number, and traffic to and from Surf is always encrypted in transit.
